After seeing the glacier and spending the night in El Calafate we drove (in our clapped out VW Golf hire car) to Chile and into the Torres Del Paine national park where we stayed in Hotel Rio Serrano which overlooked mountains, rivers and glaciers. It´s an incredible place. The valley is very lush, full of amazing trees and fauna and right in the middle of the crystal blue lake is an ICEBERG. It looks so out of place, as if it is made of polysterene and part of a movie set. It´s a lump that has cut loose from Glacier Grey which we we able to get right up close to by boat.
